After confronting her mother about the decision to hold a new contest, Diana visits her friend Mala who recalls Diana’s history. After a confrontation with Artemis, who is upset that Hippolyta won’t let the Amazons of the Bana-Mighdall compete in the contest, Diana visits the village they have set up on the island. In the village, Diana is shocked to learn she looks exactly like her mothers sister and falls into a trance, reliving Hippolyta’s and Antiope’s past.
