Description
Wilderfeast™ is a roleplaying game where you become part of the land, hunting monsters and using their essence to mutate and gain new abilities. As a Wilder, a mutated ranger, you roam the One Land, seeking to stop the frenzy—a virus that turns kaiju-esque monsters violent and destructive before jumping to new, stronger hosts.
With your trusty pack and oversized cooking utensils, you track and hunt monsters, cooking them to purify the frenzy. The more monsters you consume, the more you change, mutating further into something wild. But you don’t just hunt—you also feed and comfort the monsters you encounter, trying to heal them before it’s too late.
Gameplay alternates between two phases:
- Journeys: High-intensity travel and combat as you track down and fight monsters.
- Downtime: Low-intensity rest and roleplay where you build connections, heal, and plan your next steps.
In both phases, you resolve conflicts using a simple dice pool system based on the concept that humans use d8s, while monsters use d20s. As a Wilder, you can choose whether to embrace your human side or let the monster within take over.
The Wilderfeast core book is a 316-page hardcover filled with full-color art and features:
